Hi, I'm Praise.
I've been braiding hair for over a decade — what started as doing my friends' hair in college turned into a full-time craft, and eventually into Braids by Praise. Today I work out of a private studio in the Northwest Austin area and I've built a 5-star practice one client at a time.
My specialty is the install most braiders rush: clean, even parts, the right amount of tension (firm but never painful), and a finish that still looks fresh in week four. I take pride in the fact that my clients send me before/after photos the week their take-down is scheduled — because they want to remember it.
Whether it's your first set of knotless braids or your hundredth retwist, I want you to leave feeling taken care of, not just styled.

Healthy install > tight install.
Tension breaks edges. The right install holds for 6+ weeks without pulling — and I'll always adjust if you tell me something feels off.
Your time matters.
